Duration: 2.5 – 3 hours

What’s included:

  • Introduction to coffee: from farm to cup
  • Espresso foundations (using recipes to dial in grinders)
  • Milk texturing (theory + hands-on practice)

For managers/supervisors (optional +30 mins):

Price per session: £150 + £15 per person

The Advanced Course

Duration: 3.5 – 4.5 hours

What’s included:

  • In-depth overview of coffee: from farm to consumer + insight into your blend
    (including a tasting session of washed and natural coffees)
  • Mastering “dialling in”: precise espresso preparation and foundations of espresso creation
    (with practical, hands-on training for your staff)
  • Advanced milk texturing and latte art – with extended practice time on the machine
  • Coffee menu breakdown: preparing drinks to your café’s specifications
  • Comprehensive espresso machine maintenance breakdown

Optional Manager/Supervisor Session (+30 mins):

  • Troubleshooting common grinder and espresso machine issues

Resources Provided:

  • A detailed course breakdown powerpoint (available following the session)
  • A Dialling-In Sheet – a visual tool to support the espresso calibration process

Latte Art Course

Duration: 90 mins – 2 hours

  • Understanding milk composition & choosing the right milk for texturing
  • Steam wand positioning and milk texturing techniques
  • Demonstration of essential latte art patterns (Heart, Tulip, and Rosetta)
  • Hands-on practice with professional guidance
  • Cappuccino milk vs latte milk: technique and pour differences
  • Working with dairy alternatives

Price per session: £120 + £15 per person
(Max 5 people per session – capped at £180, excluding travel)

Head Barista Course

Duration: 3.5 – 4.5 hours

What’s included:

  • In-depth overview of coffee: from farm to consumer + breakdown of your blend
    (including a tasting session of washed and natural coffees)
  • Mastering “dialing in”: precise espresso preparation + how to teach this effectively to new staff
  • Milk texturing & latte art basics + best practices for training others
  • Coffee menu breakdown: how to prepare drinks to your café’s standards + guidance on passing this knowledge on
    (optional: introduction to hand-brew filter coffee)
  • Full machine maintenance session: strip-down cleaning of grinders, reprogramming espresso machines, and resolving common hardware issues

Resources Provided:

  • Access to a detailed Barista Training Syllabus PowerPoint (on request) – a valuable onboarding tool for future staff
  • A handy Dialling-In Sheet – a visual guide to support espresso calibration

Price per session: £275 + £40 per person
(Max 3 people per session – capped at £355, excluding travel)

Follow-up / Refresher Course

Duration: 90 minutes – 2 hours

What’s included:

  • Consultation to see how the team are getting on after the first initial training session, to pinpoint areas of focus for the refresher session.
  • 90 minute – 2 hour training session covering areas needing additional support (latte art, machine maintenance etc)

Resources Provided:

  • Follow-up email breakdown of everything covered during the refresher session, including advisories for going forward.
